In 1878,Frederic Leighton knighted at Windsor and created Baron, Holland Park Road, in the parish of St. Mary Abbots, Kensington in London, Middlesex County,and after eight years, Frederic Leighton was the first painter to be given a title, included in the new year with honors in 1896. The patent was issued , creating Frederic Leighton into Baron Leighton, of Stretton in Shropshire, in January 24, 1896,Frederic Leighton died the day after the angina pectoris in the January 25, 1896.
